Draft Mare for Sale in Clarksville, TN

Mocha is a 6 year old QH/ Draft cross bred by Deerhorn Equine Ranch in Manitoba. She is smart and well mannered and has the potential to do almost anything. Mocha has been mellowing in the field for a few years but I believe she will easily take on any role with vigor. Plans have changed since I got her as a 2 year old, and as much as I have resisted letting her go, I know that I cannot be the person to bring her to her full potential. It would not be fair to let her stagnate further. She is halter broke and very receptive to anything I have done with her, but not broke to ride. I think this could be accomplished in a very short time, but I am not the one to try due to my inexperience and other limitations. If I did not mention, she is gorgeous. Her sire was Crimson Bar OGold (AQHA) and her dam a draft cross. She is solid. Very easy keeper-- they build them hardy in Canada. I love this horse; thats why Ive held onto her much longer than I should have. I have seen her jump a 4 gate, runs like the wind, and would make a beautiful carriage horse. Photos available upon request. Thank you for your consideration

About Clarksville, TN

The area now known as Tennessee was first settled by Paleo-Indians nearly 11,000 years ago. The names of the cultural groups that inhabited the area between first settlement and the time of European contact are unknown, but several distinct cultural phases have been named by archaeologists, including Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian, whose chiefdoms were the cultural predecessors of the Muscogee people who inhabited the Tennessee River Valley prior to Cherokee migration into the river's headwaters. When Spanish explorers first visited Tennessee, led by Hernando de Soto in 1539−43, it was inhabited by tribes of Muscogee and Yuchi people. Possibly because of European diseases devastating the native tribes, which would have left a population vacuum, and also from expanding European settlement in the north, the Cherokee moved south from the area now called Virginia. As European colonists spread into the area, the native populations were forcibly displaced to the south and west, including all Muscogee and Yuchi peoples, the Chickasaw, and Choctaw.
