Athletic Sweety

11 y/o 14.3hh sturdy, chestnut paint pony mare. Leads/stands well. Very athletic and hardworking. She is incredibly smart and catches on to new concepts quickly. When we had a round pen it took me about 10 minutes to teach her how to free lunge at all three gaits with inside and outside turns. Started over 2.5' jumps, beautiful extended trot, collects well and has a nice round canter. Previous owner rode her western and started her on barrel racing; she showed promise but I was interested in cross country/show jumping. Ruby is really sweet and wants to please you but will test you so you must take charge. I would recommend an intermediate rider for her. She can be a little anxious but she calms down alright and with a little more work she'll be just fine. We're looking to sell her because our primary horse enthusiast is now in college and no longer has time to work with Ruby. Ruby needs someone who will be able to ride her and spend time with her, unfortunately we just don't have time for that anymore.
