Tennessee Walking Gelding for Sale in Leakesville, MS

"Midsummer Night's Dreamer" is a four year old registered TWH gelding that will be turning five in June. Though he be on the small side at 14.2 hands, he is one tough little horse! While I have lots of great things to say about Dreamer, probably my favorite thing is how great he is at scaling hills. He has had a lot of experience riding in the hills and hollers of North Alabama and will climb and descend hills like a mountain goat! Another favorite thing is how confident he is to be so young. Fearless when in a group, and is quickly becoming that way as a lone rider. No more than a flinch or pause every now and then. More good stuff: *Friendly *Super easy to catch *Leads like a gentleman *Lunges *Bathes *Good for hoof cleaning and trimming *Will stand tied *Good on an overnight picket line. *No moving around while tacking up, takes the bit easily. *Travels very well barefoot *Stands still for mounting and waits patiently to move off. *Will ride out alone. *Will ride anywhere in a group...does not have to lead *Will leave the group or let it go ahead of him without acting ugly. *Backs, sidepasses *Racks, Flatwalks, Lopes *NOT a big-motored horse. You can come straight out of a lope into a dog walk....and that's even when you're headed back in the direction of home. *NOT rushy....does not constantly try to go faster, but will when asked. *NOT overly sensitive *NOT easily worked up *NOT spooky *NOT barn sour or buddy sour. *Keeps well alone, not dependent on having other horses around *Healthy, sound, easy keeper, great drinker *Has been ridden by kids *with* guidance. *Could be (and has been) enjoyed by beginners. *Loads of experience....this horse is young, but by no means is he green!! Dreamer is an active trailhorse being ridden on a very regular basis. He has not been sitting in a field getting lazy. He is in shape and ready to go! Our reason for selling him is that our other horses are all fast rackers with long legs, and Dreamer just can't quite keep up. Dreamer is okay with being left behind, but his rider usually grumbles about it! ;) If interested, feel free to contact me at 769-475-0492 or email: jessicaandrickie@gmail.com Priced with a little room to negotiate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RA3gKYQflGk&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hFpZPLGSPw&feature=youtu.be

About Leakesville, MS

Like most of Mississippi, this area was part of the traditional territory of the historic Choctaw. Under the Indian Removal Act of 1830, they were forced to cede their lands in this area to the United States. The Choctaw were the first of the Southeast Five Civilized Tribes to be removed to Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), west of the Mississippi River. Some members remained in the state and their descendants have maintained cultural identity. They gained federal recognition as the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
