Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Fergus Falls, MN

Here is a 14 hand mare with a ton of athletic ability and brains. This mare has been brought along slow and quiet. She never puts up a fuss and always wants to please. She has been exposed to many things and she is always cool, calm, and collected. She is completely safe for anyone to ride and work with on the ground. She is the first one to you in the pasture and kids can jump on her bareback with a halter and ride her all over. She walks through woods, water, highways and never spooks from anything. She loads, trims, clips and bathes with no problems. She is soft in the mouth and responds very well to leg pressure and voice commands. Knows her leads, pivots and stops good. She is extremely cowy and has been used at brandings and working cattle on the ranch. She has been tracking cattle from the box and roping the dummy. She has also been used on the heelomatic. She is started on the barrels and is loping a really good solid pattern. She is starting to hunt the barrels and can really scoot when asked. No matter what you have her do she will always put her head down and walk off nice and quiet down the road. Lilly is absolutely one of the sweetest horses around. If you are looking for a performance horse that can do it all or just a smaller trail riding horse she is the one for you. She is safe safe safe! For more info call or text 2187703626. About Fergus Falls, MN

The falls from which the city gets part of its name were discovered by Joe Whitford (a Scottish trapper) in 1856 and promptly named in honor of his employer, James Fergus. It is not known whether Fergus ever visited the city, but Whitford did not live to see the city develop, as he was killed during the 1862 Dakota war in western Minnesota. In 1867, George B. Wright was at the land office at St. Cloud and found Whitford's lapsed claim, purchased the land, and built what is now the Central Dam in downtown Fergus Falls around 1871.
