Gelding for Sale in Oshkosh, WI

Marvin is a great, pretty, and sound bay gelding! He is 15.1. We rescued him from a slaughter house rescue back in March. I got him as a project horse for my 14 year old daughter. When we got him we didn't know anything about him. We found out that he is just too un broke for her and she just isn't comfortable riding him. From how he acts we believe he had about 30 days on him when he was younger and hasn't been messed with since then. He is a little on the nervous side but just needs reassurance and then he is perfect. The 10 rides she put on him he was okay he just doesn't know what to do and doesn't know to go forward. He is the perfect horse on the ground. She's been doing a lot of ground work with him and he loves the attention. He comes up to the gate to catch outside and is very very friendly. He is good to clip and stands for baths. He also just got his feet done and stood perfect for the farrier. My daughter loves him but he just isn't the horse we were looking for. My daughter is very attached to him and doesn't really want to sell him but she just wants him to go to a good happy home. 300 obo Good home is a must!!!

About Oshkosh, WI

Oshkosh was named for Menominee Chief Oshkosh, whose name meant "claw" (cf. Ojibwe oshkanzh, "the claw"). Although the fur trade attracted the first European settlers to the area as early as 1818, it never became a major player in the fur trade. Soon after 1830, much of the trade moved west, as there had been over-trapping in the region. The establishment and growth of the lumber industry in the area spurred development of Oshkosh.
