Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Green Cove, FL

I hate to do this but one of my horses is not doing well with the relocation. We've been here for a while now and my horse is losing weight. The pasture here isn't ideal and because of this I've had to triple his feed intake to keep weight on, but it's not working and is putting me in the hole. Before it gets bad I would like to offer him to someone who has equine experience at least 5 years and has contact with a farrier and dentist as well as a vet. He was a rescue when I got him and do not want him going back to another place from where I got him from. He does have throat cancer but does not require meds and as you know most greys do get some form of cancer and live a long happy life. A little about my flea bitten grey, he is 15 yrs old, around 16h's I believe and is getting over a hoof problem that will be fully healed in another trimming, always has his grain, alfalfa and beet pulp soaked, as he will colic painfully if not soaked thoroughly and another 500 vet bill is not what anyone needs. He is not the pocket type horse, you give him a job and he will do his very best to do what you ask, I've also ridden him double with my daughter on his butt, only to cross a small ravine and didn't flinch. He's a very easy going guy and does not spook. Went through a trail and found out the neighbors had dogs, all he did was shake a little and stop but with a nice voice edged him on and he went back to ignoring everything else but me. I've trail ridden him by roads with fast moving cars, kids crying, and trains and he never made a sound. I really hate to do this because he is so awesome but he is losing weight and I can't have him going back to the way he was. He's not a hard keeper, but does require very lush pasture, so yes, I will look at what you have to offer before handing him over. If you have any questions, please feel free. I will also ask to have ridden visits with him per your permission to give me peace of mind that he is doing ok. Photos will only be given to those who are serious. The photo is of him one month before we moved, he has since lost around 75-100lbs. He's been wormed, vet, dental checked and hoof trimmed and is up to date with everything, including Coggins.
