Magnas is a 6 yo Gypsian Gelding (Friesian and Gypsy Vanner Cross) who RIDES and DRIVES. Rides with a snaffle bit or bitless. A barn favorite with a quiet and gentle nature. Magnas was purchased at the age of 3 and was immediately able to participate in our therapeutic riding program and hippotherapy program at Making Strides of Virginia and currently still participates as a barn favorite. He is a fabulous trail, riding and driving horse! Magnas has NO issues. He has never been lame—Middle of the pack. Will self-load and back out of a trailer, will trailer with other horses or alone, stands to be groomed, washed, and tacked, and will self-load and unload and ground ties. Stands for the vet and farrier without question. No Vices! Wonderful gaits and an amazing sitting trot and cantor…..smooth! Will cross creeks, bridges, and all types of terrain. This guy will ride out in any position with a group and will also trail independently. A been there done that type of horse. A definite husband’s horse! This is a horse that you can go without riding for six months, and jump back on him and experience the same calm, cool, and collected horse. We have ridden this guy all over the state parks, exposing him to bicycles, dogs, and runners. He will walk along quietly and not flinch. He walks loosely on a rein. You can even dismount by sliding off his backside 🙂 He is trustworthy and safe for children and adults. Magnas will cue to the level of his rider. His exposure to those with special needs individuals and his willingness and kindness make this horse special! When used in the therapeutic riding program, no rider has ever had a bit in his mouth. Rides in a halter in the program. Would be a great dressage project. His cantor is amazing, and you can ride it all day long. This guy also drives single and double. He is safe in traffic and around cars and trucks. The only reason he is up for sale is that I am deciding to retire. This horse can do it all. He is extraordinary, to say the least.
