Friesian Mare for Sale in Michigan City, IN

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 5/28 @ 4:40 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Meet Bermuda! She is as beautiful as she is brave. Bermuda was born in late 2016 and is a black, 15h Friesian cross. She recently passed a vet check and is ready to take on new adventures with her owner. Bermuda will cross-tie; she’s easy to bathe, groom, and saddle. She will load/unload with ease and will stand tied as long as you ask. Bermuda is traffic-safe, town-safe, and will go anywhere you point her on the trails. She is lower on the pecking order during turnout and will stay happily in a stall or turn out with friends. Bermuda loves attention and is an absolute sweetheart; she really wants to please her rider. She has a very comfortable gait and will also ride bareback! Bermuda recently took a trail rider on her first trail ride, and she cared for her rider perfectly! No trees, turkeys, deer, or puddles threw her off her game. Anyone who meets Bermuda instantly falls in love! She is a wonderful mare who will be an asset to anyone! Please feel free to visit Bermuda. We have an Air B&B on site, and we are located about an hour and a half from Chicago, IL.

About Michigan City, IN

Michigan City's origins date to 1830, when the land for the city was first purchased by Isaac C. Elston, a real estate speculator who had made his fortune in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He paid about $200 total for 160 acres (65 ha) of land. The now-closed Elston Middle School, formerly Elston High School, was named after the founder. The city was incorporated in 1836, by which point it had 1,500 residents, along with a post office, a newspaper, a church, a commercial district and ten hotels.
