Tennessee Walking Mare for Sale in Laporte, CO

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 5/28 @ 5:00 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. $5000 NO RESERVE! Bellas Thriller is a very classy, easy to ride mare with phenomenal bloodlines. Take her out on the trail or breed her to get a foal with great heritage! She has beautiful, smooth gaits with both a smooth flat walk and a running walk and will lope around nicely as well. This mare has been put to the test at our place, being ridden in 30 mph winds with gusts up to 45 mph. In her video with the tarp, you can watch her reaction to being hit in the face with sand and the tarp whipping around – that is her worst reaction to rough or scary situations. She is truly phenomenal no matter what the situation. We have ridden her in town, across bridges and rivers, and around traffic. She never bats an eye. She has seen the mountain terrain as well and is sure-footed and aware of her surroundings, really taking care of her rider. Dogs, bikes, strollers, atvs, nothing phases her. She will ride out alone or in a group with no issues in line; put her in the front, middle or back and she’s the same horse. She loads and unloads the best and will ride right in the trailer when asked (as seen in her video). She is great for the vet and farrier and hauls well on the road. This mare will highline or hobble for overnight trips. She can be kept in any scenario and doesn’t bat an eye. Bellas Thriller really is a special horse, and we can’t wait to see where she goes. Come out and try her for yourself! Thank you in advance from totonkatrailequine. We look forward to everyone’s calls and meeting you. We will return your call if you leave us a text message. No voicemail! Shipping can be arranged anywhere in the States or internationally. Payment is expected the next business day by noon via wire transfer. Thank you again from totonkatrailequine.

About Laporte, CO

The town was first settled by French-Canadian fur trappers and mountain men. It was the gateway to all the mountainous region lying north of the South Platte River and extending from the Plains to the Continental Divide. The trappers built cabins here along the Cache la Poudre River as early as 1828, making it the first white settlement in Larimer County. According to legend, a group of fur traders had earlier stashed supplies (including gunpowder) in a cache along the river near Laporte, and that is how the river got its name. It became the home of Antoine Janis in 1844, who is often noted as the first permanent white settler north of the Arkansas River.
