Cheyenne is a gorgeous 12 year old sorrel overo paint mare. She is not only flashy and eye catching, but she has a personality you can only dream for. Cheyenne has a quiet and willing attitude no matter where she is, along with a wonderful temperament and excellent ground manners. Cheyenne has been used on the ranch for various things, such as doctoring calves, moving cattle, etc. She is super handy and easy to get along with. Cheyenne is very responsive and goes off leg pressure, she neck reins, has a phenomenal brake, backs up amazing, side passes, spins, and can walk, trot, canter without any problems. She has been hauled on many occasions and has been ridden through rugged terrain all throughout the mountains. She is very surefooted and has no issues with various types of wildlife including birds, wild turkeys, deer, coyotes, etc. Cheyenne remains steadfast and isn’t phased when unexpected things happen on the trail, such as unleashed dogs running up barking, or chaotic traffic. She has been exposed to semi-trucks, trailers and tractors and has not exhibited any issues. She will go down steep slopes, crosses water shallow or deep, cross bridges, and step over logs and collapsed trees. She has also done many other obstacles such as walking over tarps, dragging tires, walking over covered pallets, carrying flags, opening and closing gates, and so much more. We have ridden her to various convenience stores, and all around our neighborhood, and she willingly goes. While also greeting everyone who comes to pet her! She has been in several parades and been taken to multiple state parks for trail rides. She loads, stands tied, bathes, clips, and stands while being tacked and mounted. You can rope off her, pony off her, ride her double, ride her bareback, and ride her in a halter, she’s wonderful. She is well minded and suitable for any level rider. Cheyenne is good in a pasture or a stall, and is easy to catch. She is completely sound with no vices or health issues, and is up to date on everything (dewormed, feet trimmed, teeth floated, etc).

About Aurora, CO

Before European settlement, the land that Aurora sits on was the territory of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), and Očeti Šakówiŋ (Sioux) tribes. Aurora originated in the 1880s as the town of Fletcher, taking its name from Denver businessman Donald Fletcher who saw it as a real estate opportunity. He and his partners staked out four square miles (10 km 2) east of Denver, but the town - and Colorado - struggled mightily after the Silver Crash of 1893. At that point Fletcher skipped town, leaving the community with a huge water debt. Inhabitants decided to rename the town Aurora in 1907, after one of the subdivisions composing the town, and Aurora slowly began to grow in Denver's shadow becoming the fastest-growing city in the United States during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
