FLASHY RARE BLUE ROAN RIDES AND DRIVES! Azul is the truest version of a real-life Gentle Giant! He is the gentlest, loving horse with a heart of gold. He is bottom to the middle of the pack in the field. He has been such a joy to bring along in our therapeutic riding and driving program, working with special needs individuals, and is a barn favorite of ours and anyone who crosses his path. Azul is 100% sound and gentle in every way: gentle, safe, and sound. Azul is the definition of an all-around horse. He is amazing on the trails. He will lead, follow, or go out alone. Will drive single or double. He will transition from Western to English with ease and just loves to trail ride. He can easily carry two riders. He will go for hours at a steady, happy walk. He crosses water without issue, except he likes to play in it for a few moments. From his driving experience, nothing bothers him on the trails —bikes, people, animals, cars, or loud noises. He will lope beautiful circles and is like riding a big comfy couch. Azul will move off your aids and leg pressure. He will stand for you to mount and dismount. Although he has the capability to learn to lie down, this is something we have NOT taught him due to his presence in the therapeutic riding and driving program. A special needs individual giving the cue unintentionally could result in a disastrous situation. All of this he will do with or without a bridle! Azul is safe and gentle enough for children and beginner riders. He easily joined the therapy program at the age of 3 years old. He is a favorite in our therapeutic riding program. He has been used in lessons and handles anything new thrown his way. This horse is as “bombproof “as they come. Check out his video on and off the trails and driving! Azul is brave and confident on the trail and will take care of his rider from start to finish. He crosses creeks, logs, bridges, and roads. When asked, he will go from a steady walk to a lope or gallop and then back to a loose-rein walk. He will trail ride alone or with the company of others. From day one, Azul has never questioned anywhere we have pointed him! He loves water; see his pictures. Azul is a beautiful blue roan, is six years old, and stands at 16.2 hands. He is strong, sturdy, and built to last a lifetime. If you don’t know much about driving this horse will teach you! Harness and carriage are available on separate sales. Azul has countless miles of training both in and out of the arena. He has always impressed us with his willingness to work and always says “Yes!” to any question asked of him. We just can’t say enough great things about this horse! He is exactly how he is presented in his video!
