Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Michigan City, IN

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 05/01 @ 5PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Gloria is a solid all-around mare. She is never mareish and has no vices. She clips, loads, bathes, and ties with no issue. Gloria can be ridden in English or Western but excels at outdoor ranch-type work. She is excellent on the trails and will cross logs, water, bridges, ditches, and climb hills. She is also road-safe and has no issue with traffic, dogs, or other chaos. Gloria would be a great family horse as she is kid-safe but large enough for adults to ride. She has been used to pony yearlings, drag heavy objects around, and for lessons. Gloria also has experience in the indoor arena and would be suitable for any arena work.

About Michigan City, IN

Michigan City's origins date to 1830, when the land for the city was first purchased by Isaac C. Elston, a real estate speculator who had made his fortune in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He paid about $200 total for 160 acres (65 ha) of land. The now-closed Elston Middle School, formerly Elston High School, was named after the founder. The city was incorporated in 1836, by which point it had 1,500 residents, along with a post office, a newspaper, a church, a commercial district and ten hotels.
