Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in New Braunfels, TX

Sweet 15 yro gray mare. Her buddy passed away recently and she needs a herd and a regular rider. Ridden pleasure, bareback, and trail. She’s had some anxiety since losing her buddy but typically has been the lead trail horse due to her level head. She is used to an english saddle although she has been under a western saddle several times with no issues. However, owner is very busy so riding and training schedule is intermittent. One owner since age 3, has done small jumps and she lunges, ground ties, picks up her feet, and backs. Hasn't been trailered in 10 years but loaded at that time with no problem. Very calm temperament although she is a mare so she will definitely let you know her mood. Sweet girl who would do best with a rider who she can respect although she has had beginners on her with no issues other than that she will ignore their cues if they allow her to. Last shots and vet check up 11/2022, farrier did her hooves 1/13/23.

About New Braunfels, TX

New Braunfels was established in 1845 by Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels, Commissioner General of the Adelsverein, also known as the Noblemen's Society (in German: Mainzer Adelsverein). Prince Solms named the settlement in honor of his home of Solms-Braunfels, Germany. The Adelsverein organized hundreds of people in Germany to settle in Texas. Immigrants from Germany began arriving at Galveston in July 1844. Most then traveled by ship to Indianola in December 1844, and began the overland journey to the Fisher-Miller land grant purchased by Prince Solms.
