Judgement Wins World Cup Qualifier

Wellington, FL – February 16 – Today at the Winter Equestrian Festival, the $50,000 Idle Dice Classic took center stage. This was a World Cup Qualifier that Judgement won with Beezie Madden riding for the Iron Spring Farm of Pennsylvania. Six horses had first rounds that were fault-free and Judgement was the fastest clear round in the jump-off with a time of 39.56 seconds. Second to go in the jump-off was Margie Engle with Hidden Creek Jones who set the pace and ended up second placed in their time of 40.03 seconds. In third place was Clasiko with Lauren Hough riding for the Clasiko Group with a time of 40.15 seconds.

In the $5,000 FEI Individual Young Rider, Champion was Cody Baird with October Farm’s Poleander. Paige Johnson was Reserve Champion with Lancier 4 for Salamander Farm.

In the FEI Children’s World Jumping Competition, Chagall 115 won with Carolyn Kelly riding for Pala Mostoller. Mid-Accord owned and ridden by Maggie McAlary was second.

A $1,500 Young Jumper 7 Years Old Class had Madison win with Kent Farrington riding for Alexa Weeks. Second place went to Tomboy Major with Laurie Bucci riding for Marc Sabbah.

Tickets to the Winter Equestrian Festival are available by phone at 793-JUMP or at the gate. Admission is free on Wednesdays. Children 12 & under are free all days. Senior admission is $5 every day. Adult admission is $5 on Thursday and Friday, $10 on Saturday, and $15 on Sunday. Parking is free.
