Dutch Warmblood Gelding for Sale in Skippack, PA

Located in Skippack, PA (19474), Zeus (Show name: Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice!) is an accomplished local show favorite in search of a more suitable rider. An adorable horse, he enjoys small town Instagram fame with several thousand followers (see him for yourself, his handle is jumpingzeus!) He needs a strong intermediate rider, older teen to adult. Here is some video: https://youtu.be/rxZyuF-32co General: 15.3 hand chestnut pinto Draft/Dutch Warmblood cross Gelding, approx. 17 years old Health: No known health problems, no vet visits/treatment outside of physicals twice annually, utd vaccinations, and teeth floated annually. Farrier: easy keeper, stands for farrier to get trimmed, no need for shoes (even in show season!) Disciplines: is comfortable under English or Western saddle. Has been competed as Hunter/Jumper, schooled Western. With previous owner, he did eventing and dressage, also some barrel racing and trail riding. Jumping: recently competing at 2’6”, schooled up to 4’, loves to jump, a point and shoot athlete I don’t believe in unicorns, we all have our flaws. Zeus is a little spooky, doesn’t love getting loaded, and will definitely try a few tricks (stopping/standing or throwing small bucks occasionally) to get a break from work.

About Skippack, PA

In 1683, thirteen families from the lower Rhine River arrived at Philadelphia aboard the Concord, on October 6, 1683. These families were primarily linen weavers, but also knew how to farm too. These first German immigrants gave up the homeland of Germany because of religious persecution they experienced as Mennonite and Quakers from the Catholic and Reformed Churches. Upon arriving at Philadelphia, the families were greeted by the representative of the Frankfort Land Company, a highly educated German lawyer, Franz Daniel Pastorius, charged with the authority to make land transactions with the thirteen families. After inspecting different areas of the vicinity of Philadelphia, the families settled on the land that was to become the villages of Germantown, Summerhousen, Crefeld, and Germantownship.
