Quarter Pony Gelding for Sale in Ellijay, GA

PRICE REDUCED. WILLING TO GO LOWER THAN 4K TO RIGHT HOME "Bo" is an 8 year old Quarter horse mix that LOVES to jump. He will jump just about anything you put in front of him from coops to skinnies. He can comfortably jump a 2'6" course, and he has school 3ft many times with room to go higher. He has been to dressage shows, and scores very nicely. I take him cross-country schooling at my place and he can jump most of the jumps including tires, ditches, oxers, hay bales, logs, etc. He is experienced in Novice mounted games, we have competed at one schooling show. He has been to shows including Horsesense riding academy, Rivermont Farm, and North Atalanta equestrian events. In all shows we have been to, we have scored 2nd place and higher. Bo is also absolutely amazing on trail rides, he makes a great lead horse and he gets along great with pasture mates. He is an easy keeper and stands still for farrier, hose, and grooming. He is sooooo willing to learn, and is as just as sweet as can be! Bo has a wonderful personality and I would love for him to go to a sweet home. He is a forward horse with good brakes, I have ridden him bridle-less many times! He loads well on my trailer, and is up to date on all vaccinations and coggins. He is a bit soft in the mouth, so needs a rider with quiet hands. Please call Katie at (706) 669-3282 for any questions or if interested. Im playing high school sports and he needs Someone who can spend more time with him. I love this sweet boy and I know you will too!

About Ellijay, GA

Ellijay is the anglicized form of the Cherokee name Elatseyi, meaning "new ground". Other sources say it means "green place". Gilmer County was cut from Cherokee County in 1832, and Ellijay became the county seat in 1834. Ellijay existed as a remote mountain community until the Marietta and Northern Georgia Railroad (later the L & N) arrived in 1884. This prompted something of a boom in the timber industry, but the area remained relatively isolated until the Zell Miller Mountain Parkway ( Georgia 515, named for Georgia governor and U.S.
