Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Killeen, TX

This mare is a palomino with a personality. She is halter broke and leads great. She stands good, just standing there or to saddle. I have worked her on the ground alot with and without the saddle/bridle. She does a bit but she is sensitive to her ears but she is alot better bout it. I have ridden this mare in the round pen and the arena and she did great, with a halter.I have gotten her to trot and lope under saddle. I have ponied her on trails and she ponies very well and she was exposed to walking through creeks, goin up/down hills, dogs, roads, ect. She loads in the trailer good. She is barefoot and an easy keeper bout feed. She stands great for farrier. She is up to date on shots and coggins. She would be a good play day horse or pleasure horse for someone. She loves attention. She has been exposed to a rope and a flag. I took her to a practice roping pen and she did good.I will have more recent photos

About Killeen, TX

In 1881, the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway extended its tracks through central Texas, buying 360 acres (1.5 km 2) a few miles southwest of a small farming community known as Palo Alto, which had existed since about 1872. The railroad platted a 70-block town on its land and named it after Frank P. Killeen, the assistant general manager of the railroad. By the next year, the town included a railroad depot, a saloon, several stores, and a school. Many of the residents of the surrounding smaller communities in the area moved to Killeen.
