Paint Gelding for Sale in London, KY

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM. SALE ENDS ON 8/20 @ 1PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Timber is a big stout beautiful Sorrel, standing around 15.2hh. He is a Registered APHA and is a Gelding with some cool markings. If you want a versatile horse that can work on the cattle ranch during the week but go out and relax with your friends on the trails on the weekend, Timber will fit the bill! Timber has been used on a ranch doing the daily tasks from checking fences to herding and sorting cattle. We have also used him to gather some cows out of the pasture. He has good cow sense and has been roped off as well. He has been used for day riding at a feedlot and has sorted and loaded trucks. He has been ridden throughout Montana, Wisconsin, Kansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He is great on the trails and is a slow and easy type of horse that handles any obstacle that comes his way. He will cross creeks, ditches, and logs and navigate rough, rocky areas. He is traffic safe as well. He has a smooth jog, a very nice lope, will set down and slide stop, turns a circle both ways, side passes, and backs with ease! He has all the bells and whistles but has the mind that makes him easy to operate! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkeys or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Timber doesn’t have any bad habits. If you’re wanting a horse that has been ranched on, had cow experience, been trail ridden, and has seen big Timber… Timber is your guy! Feel free to call Dillon with any questions. Located in London, KY.

About London, KY

Upon the establishment of Laurel County in 1825, a vote was held to provide for the new area's seat of government. The land offered by John and Jarvis Jackson was selected, along with their suggested name of London, honoring their English heritage. The town was founded the next year; its post office established in 1831; and its city rights granted in 1836. During the late 1930s and early 1940s, London served as a central collection agency for books donated to the Pack Horse Library Project. It also had a pack horse library which delivered books to rural residents in the mountains.
