Tennessee Walking Mare for Sale in Waskom, TX

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM. SALE ENDS ON 8/20 @ 2PM CT. More information available on the website including an UTD vet inspection, coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come visit. This impeccable mare is safe for the entire family to ride, an absolute beauty that will definitely turn heads as she glides on! Baby Girl is a Show Stopper. Whether you’re in or out of the arena, riding downtown under the Big City Lights, on a back country road somewhere, or out deep in the woods on trails or hunting hogs, heads are going to turn! She’s been there, done that & then some. From carrying a flag at local parades & rodeos, to gracefully cruising through the streets under the night lights downtown Shreveport, LA, grabbing a drink at Mcdonald’s drive-thru while out on a leisurely ride to being a therapeutic superstar & a dream come true to several children & adults at the front door of a Wal-Mart Supercenter just to name a few…. AND Just because she’s FANCY doesn’t mean this pretty lady won’t work & get down & dirty…. It’s because she’s country raised on a farm & ranch. She’s ridden through the woods, thickets, up & down steep inclines, over bridges, in water, over logs, out to check the mail, push pen and sort cattle, seen types of wildlife & LOVES to go on HOG HUNTS & she’s even helped round up & pen a hog … SEE VIDEO!!! She has seen everything you can imagine, from the farm to the city lights, and has never done anything more than taking a look if she hasn’t seen it before, then strolls by. She rides the same whether you’re alone, in a group, or taking a lengthy break from riding & ready to saddle back up. She’s honest, she’s smart & will always remain the same no matter what! Great for the farrier, stands quiet when tied, saddled, bridled, clipped, bathed, groomed, loads & unloads easily, etc. She’s only had two owners, never offered for sale prior & wouldn’t be for sale if our entire barn (10 stalls) & all contents hadn’t burned completely up a few weeks ago, leaving all 15 horses outside, all together & no way to separate at feed time. It’s left us no other options except to sell & start over, so with a heavy heart, we have made that tuff decision to put Baby Girl on first, as she is used to being pampered, able to go in and out of her stall & stay cool. She’s a lover, not a fighter & patiently waits her turn (at the bottom..lol) at feed time. Such a sweet girl that loves attention. She aims to please & was living the good life until July 16th. This just isn’t fair to her or any of them, actually! We will add more amazing videos to the auction as we get them all together. Please give me a call if you have any questions about her. This is a NICE mare. I can’t say enough good about her! You’re also welcome to come on out to meet & try Baby Girl as well!!!

About Waskom, TX

The city of Waskom was established in 1850 as Powell Town, presumably for Jonathan S. Powell, who owned a land grant in the area. It was founded as a midway point for an east-west ( Dallas to Shreveport) cattle and cotton economic trail to the Red River in Louisiana. From 1850 to 1872 it had a post office as Powellton. In 1872, it became a main railroad station between Dallas, Texarkana, and Shreveport.
