8 yr. old, registered Missouri Foxtrotter mare by the great sire Southern Sunrise and out of an Outlaws Patriot dam. Sorrel with star and 2 rear socks. Gentle, easy to catch mare than stands quietly at mounting steps for mounting and dismounting, will cross belly deep streams and rivers, easy to shoe, clip. Load and unload. Very smooth gait at 7.3 mph and average speed at walk 3.4. Great on trails and ridden mostly in Arkansas and Missouri Ozark mountains.
About Holt, MO
Holt was platted in 1867. The city was named for Jeremiah Abel Holt (1811-1886), who donated the land in 1837 and who was one of the first settlers in the area, a native of Orange County, North Carolina. Holt has the distinction of holding the world record for the fastest accumulation of rainfall. On June 22, 1947, Holt received 12 inches (300 mm) of rain in 42 minutes.
