Jigsaw is a nice, calm, and easy-going gelding, the first to greet you in the field and will follow you around all over. He is very willing to work or learn new things! Stands patiently on cross ties for tacking, mounting, and dismounts. He will allow you to clip bridle path ears and face without a meltdown! He also enjoys being bathed and sprayed off. Loads and backs off trailers easily. Farriers have no issues when trimming hooves and nailing shoes on him. Trail riding is a dream on this tough guy, good in creeks and deep water crossing with no hesitation. Rough, steep trails are easily maneuvered, and cross logs and deep thick mud with ease. Jigsaw will travel the roads paying no mind to vehicles, semis, or farm machinery cruising by him. He has been used on farms for doctoring cattle checking fences, and a personal gate opener. You can sling a rope off his back, shoot or crack a whip. Even tarps can’t phase him. Not to mention hammering wood, chainsaws, dogs, loud sudden noises, and quick movements. Jigsaw will ground tie, or when you get off and need to do something, he will walk and follow right behind you as long as you want him to. Jigsaw is sure-footed and has a very nice disposition. He collects himself up when you ask to trot or lope and stops quickly on short notice every time. Although jigsaw knows a neck rein, he works more so off leg pressure and cues. Capable of lead changes when asked. You can ride him without a halter or bridle and will go wherever you ask him to and stop when instructed to do so walk, trot, and canter/ lope loose reined and without asking to collect himself up beautifully and smoothly! He certainly has more whoa than go, which is great for beginners or timid riders, but he will move out with the gentlest nudge when asking him to do so. Jigsaw is a safe, reliable, well-built, and beautifully marked up, and dependable horse. He is a one-of-a-kind horse, and hard to come across a good one like him! I’ve truly enjoyed being able to have him around and test his capabilities and demeanor. This horse’s dedication and willingness will never fail you! Lots of time in the saddle miles on the trails, or never-ending workdays is what he is made of. Lastly, Jigsaw will fit children and beginners due to his patience and tolerance for kids being kids! He takes care of them and builds the confidence of kids or beginner riders.
