Paint Gelding for Sale in Coldspring, TX
Meet Spencer, a 14 year old paint gelding awaiting his new, loving home. Spencer is an all around horse and has never been shown, however he has great potential and is still very energetic, his trot is very lovely as well. He would do well with someone who has plenty of experience with horses and lots of time and patience. Please note that he has not been ridden for a while and he does need some saddle work along with groundwork before riding. He can be groomed/tacked/bathed easily and loading him in the trailer should not be a problem. He is definitely a great horse to have around the ranch and is very strong. About Coldspring, TX
The history of Coldspring is linked to Stephen F. Austin's first colony in Texas which established, among other locales, San Jacinto County. Austin's original colony extended to the Trinity River watershed, roughly along Texas 156, toward Point Blank. After receiving a commission from the Mexican government to settle the town, Joseph Vehlein, a German immigrant to Mexico, deeded 640 acres (2.6 km 2) to Robert Rankin, an American Revolutionary officer. This acreage included the site of Coldspring.
