Mustang Mare for Sale in San Luis Obispo, CA

Aspen is a yearling mustang filly who was born in the holding facilities in Ridgecrest, CA. I adopted Aspen about 100 days ago in order to compete in the 2020 Youth CA Extreme Mustang Makeover, where she placed as Overall Champion, winning every class she was in. She has all of the basic groundwork put on her, and is fun to play around with liberty as well. She leads, backs up softly, picks up feet, lunges, forequarter and hindquarter yields, sidepasses, ground drives, is desensitised to flag and tarps etc, good with clippers, is awesome at liberty, lays down, does the spanish walk, spin, ground drives, wears a bareback pad, trailer loads and is perfect to haul (loves it in there for some reason), ponies, bathes, stands tied, and is good for the farrier. She has a super cute jump and a nice stop as well. She is sound and up to date on all shots, coggins, deworming, and trimming. She is Sale Authority so she will not need to go through all of the BLM paperwork. Because she is still a baby, I will be making sure she goes to an intermediate/experienced home who can bring out the best in her. This is an incredibly talented horse with so much potential, she will definitely be going places.

About San Luis Obispo, CA

The earliest human inhabitants of the local area were the Chumash people. One of the earliest villages lies south of San Luis Obispo and reflects the landscape of the early Holocene when estuaries came farther inland. The Chumash people used marine resources of the inlets and bays along the Central Coast and inhabited a network of villages, including sites at Los Osos and Morro Creek. The tribal site on present-day San Luis Obispo was named tiłhini, Obispeño for "Place of the full moon". During the Spanish Empire expansion throughout the world, specifically in 1769, Franciscan Junípero Serra received orders from Spain to bring the Catholic faith to the natives of (Alta California); the idea was to unify the empire under the same religion and language.
