Appendix Mare for Sale in Carlisle, PA
Candy is a 13yr old mare who has a nice walk, trot, canter. She is a sweet girl and loves attention, but needs someone who has time to desensitize her to things and work with her to trailer. She has mainly been ridden in the ring and has not experienced much outside of that. My 12 year old daughter rides her, but need a horse that is calmer around new things. She would be good for an intermediate to experienced rider, not a beginner. Does not buck, but wants to run when something startles her. I just don't have the time to work with her like she needs to round off the rough spots. Up to date on shots and had negative coggins in July.
About Carlisle, PA
Scots-Irish immigrants farmed the Cumberland Valley beginning in the early 1730s. The town of Carlisle, at the intersection of several Indian trails, was designated by the Pennsylvania assembly and the William Penn family in 1751 as the seat of Cumberland County (named for Cumberland County, England). American pioneer John Armstrong Sr., a surveyor for the Penn family, laid the plan for the town of Carlisle in 1751. He settled there and fathered John Armstrong Jr. in 1758.
