Mule Mare for Sale in Snow Hill, MD

Available only on the website "THEHORSEBAY" Shawnee is a 14.3hh, 12-year-old bay mare mule with a black dorsal stripe down her back and across her shoulders. She is owned and ridden by a 75-year-old man. Shawnee is a trail riders dream. She rides and drives. She has many miles of trail experience in the mountains, Chesapeake Bay, and has been ridden in numerous states. She doesn’t mind riding out alone. She will ride anywhere in the group, from leading to being at the end of the group. She is very sure-footed and watches where she places her feet. She crosses water, deep drainage ditches, bridges, goes through tunnels, basically anything you ask of her. She is not spooky at all. She has been exposed to deer, turkeys, cows, dogs, hikers, bicycles, and traffic and handles it all with ease. She will walk out easily with the walking horses or settles right in with the quarter horses. Shawnee is very personable, loves attention, and loves her humans. She is calm and quiet in all situations. She is easy to shoe, bathe, stands tied quietly, clips great, easy to load and unload, and a pleasure to be around. If you are looking for a safe, smooth, good minded, sure-footed trail riding mule, then this mule is for you!

About Snow Hill, MD

Snow Hill was founded in 1686 in Somerset County by English settlers who may have named it after a street and neighborhood of the City of London called " Snow Hill", despite the location's elevation of just 16 feet (4.9 m) above sea level and the infrequency of snowfall. The town received its first charter on October 26, 1686, and was made a port of entry in 1694. [ citation needed ] In 1742, Worcester County was carved out of the eastern half of old Somerset County and Snow Hill, centrally located in the new county and at the head of navigation on the Pocomoke River, was made the county seat. [ citation needed ] Major fires in 1844 and 1893 destroyed the center of Snow Hill, including two successive Court Houses, although some eighteenth century structures survived both fires. Following the second fire, much of the commercial area was rapidly rebuilt, so the downtown today contains many historic buildings of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
