Mustang Mare for Sale in Weatherford, TX
This is wild mustang Annie! She is not so wild any more. She is green broke, and know basics. She is a amazing mustang and is as calm as can be! She is a very sweet with a little bit of sass. I can ride her bare back with just a halter in fields and arenas. I competed with her In EMM (Extreme mustang makeover) January 2020. The only reason I’m selling her because, she is a little to short for me.. 13.2 hands. She knows the basics walk, trot, Lope, stop, stand for the farrier, load in a trailer etc. she can also do Liberty work. I have Ridden her with other horses and alone on the trail. I have also ridden her in the dark. The first time I got on her she didn’t buck, rear, or give any kind of fit she just went along with it. On her 3rd ride a friend came over a we road her in an open Fi
... more»eld bareback! She did awesome! She is good with dog, cats, small children etc. She is English and Western and boy can this mare JUMP she cleared a four and a half foot gate at 2 years old! She loves jumping, she will jump any thing in her way. She has jumped with a rider, it was an accident though. She still needs more time in the saddle, doing different maneuvers and stuff like that. She has a hard time with side passing.. I’m not sure why? But I am working on that at the moment. Over all she is good at round pinning. She can walk/trot over poles, go around barrels, over tarps etc. She is a very well behaved horse. Annie is still young, she is not a kids horse yet. So don’t put your five year old on a say “go ride”. I have put kids on her in a round pen and lead them around. And my older brother (12 years) rode her around with no problems. But like I said, she still has a lot to learn. And like any two year old she can still spook. I can keep her for a few more months and keep training if you don’t want to. I love having her around and it’s a shame not to keep her🥺 Summer through spring she just lives on grass. I don’t give her any thing else. In winter I give her alfalfa and Timothy to keep her from getting thin. I am in no rush to sell her, and will turn any one down I fell isn’t suited for her. She really is an amazing horse and I would love her to find a home that loves her as much as I do! $2000 Price firm! or a trade for a taller started/finished barrel horse mare or filly. Or a green broke filly or mare. Thank you!
About Weatherford, TX
In 1854, Methodist Reverend Pleasant Tackett led 15 pioneer families into a land they called " Goshen," which would later become part of Parker County, itself to be created the following year by the efforts of State Representative Isaac Parker and State Senator Thomas Jefferson Weatherford in the Texas State Legislature. [a] Evidence of a prior, failed attempt to colonize the region can be found in the abandoned cabin from 1852-53 located 6 miles (9.7 km) south of modern Weatherford on the J.H. Voorhies farm. In 1856 The railroad arrived in June 1880. The Santa Fe Depot (which houses the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce) was built in 1908 under Jim Crow laws, with waiting rooms segregated and separated by the ticket office.
