Gelding for Sale in Jerseyville, IL

9 y/o saddle holder for sale. Scout has tons of potential, but needs someone with a little more time to devote to him and has a little grit. He’s got gorgeous coloring and great confirmation. He’s been doing tremendous with ground work, learning how to set up and work through a halter class and is doing great with lunging in a round pen and on a line. Scout’s only issue is he bucks sometimes without explanation or warning. Mostly at a canter. He moves well under seat changes, just seems to have a bit of a temperament issues. Unfortunately, I am looking for a kid safe horse so he just won’t work and I don’t have the time or experience to take him to the next level. Asking 2,000 OBO. Located in Jerseyville, IL. About Jerseyville, IL

In 1827, James Faulkner, a Pennsylvania native, and his family built a small framed structure that was named the "Little Red House," in the area that is now known as Jerseyville. The "Little Red House" served as the first stagecoach station, first tavern, first school, and first bank in the immediate area. By 1834, the small settlement that grew up around Faulkner's home, then known as Hickory Grove by its residents, was surveyed and platted by two immigrants from New Jersey, John Lott and Edward M. Daly. Lott and Daly's involvement marked the beginning of a proportionally large number of merchants, businessmen and settlers from New Jersey.
