Paint Gelding for Lease in Lakewood, CO

Jackson is a 11 year old 16.2 hand paint horse trained for pleasure only. The lease would include access to an indoor and outdoor arena as well as a round pen at a barn located in Conifer. The person leasing him needs to have horse experience and must be over the age of 12, he is not for beginner riders because he is specifically trained using spur stops. He is safe, does not buck or kick and he is a horse you can hop on without working him first. He can test you at times and sometimes is a bit pushy on the ground but not bad. You will need to be comfortable getting him out of a pasture with other horses. He has been used in 4-H and has won lots of ribbons in English and Western. Whoever leases him would need to agree that during the 1st month you can only ride him when I am there providing direction to you. Since he is trained very specifically we need to make sure it’s a good fit for you and him. After the 1st month is over we will re-evaluate and if it is a good fit we can continue with the lease and you can ride him on your own. The lease allows for 3 days a week use, you must coordinate those 3 days with me as I do take him to shows off property from time to time. Tack will be provided, you must use my tack since it fits him. This lease is for onsite use only, we can negotiate later if you would like to use him for competition. Barn is located about 30 minutes from Denver , and about an hour from FairPlay

About Lakewood, CO

The urban/suburban development of the community known as Lakewood was begun in 1889 by Charles Welch and W.A.H. Loveland, who platted a 13-block area along Colfax Avenue west of Denver in eastern Jefferson County. Loveland, the former president of the Colorado Central Railroad, retired to the new community of Lakewood after many years of living in Golden. [ citation needed ] Until 1969, the area known as Lakewood had no municipal government, relying instead on several water districts, several fire districts, and the government of Jefferson County. Lakewood was a community with policing provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff, several volunteer staffed fire districts, and some neighborhoods without street lights and sidewalks.
