Big-Bodied Gelding

Offered for Partial Lease! Dakota is a big-bodied 16.2 hand, 2008 paint gelding. Throughout his career he has been exposed to VHJA hunter-jumpers, cross-country, dressage, hunter paces, TREC, foxhunting, trail riding, and much more. Dakota is very level-headed and willing to take a joke. He is more of a push ride but is all there when you ask for it. Perfect flying changes. He has schooled up to 3’6” although is not currently conditioned at that height due to no fault of his own, only lack of time by his owner. Affectionate, outgoing and very people oriented; Dakota is always a barn favorite with his curious personality. He is very willing and trusting in his rider. Excellent ground manners: loads, ties, stands for vet, farrier, clipping etc. Currently offered for on-farm half-lease at Destiny Morgan in Colchester, Vermont. Half-lease (very flexible) entitles rider to average of 3 days per week at $450 a month flat rate (owner covers ALL maintenance fees and horses' insurance coverage). However, willing to be flexible for the perfect situation. Dakota would be great for a young rider trying to move up the levels or an older rider seeking the confidence of a sturdy mount. Though, his talent and willingness to please makes him a great mount for any rider.
