Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Cresson, TX

Floating, collected mover that’s just right for the avid dressage rider looking to excel in the show ring. He is voice command with light leg aids who transitions up and down with ease. He bends at the pole, withers and rounds his back nicely under your seat. Nick is an OTTB (Off the Track Thoroughbred) who was started with hacking and jumping at 5 years of age. The current owner bought him in 2014 as an 11-year-old and took dressage lessons with Debbie Cinotto most of 2015. He excelled at dressage but was a bit strong in the bride at jumping (on the back side). He has been cross trained to Western Dressage as well as trail riding in various terrain. He trail rides on a loose rein and can trot/lope calmly and come back to your hands. Trustworthy in new situations and always tries hard to do his best. Has never offered to buck or be naughty! Nick is VERY affectionate and looks forward to daily riding and interacting with people. Super easy for the farrier, loads, hauls, UTD on all. Easy keeper! Won’t break the bank on feed and no supplements needed. Gets along well with others in the pasture. Clean, sound legs with great feet. Lots of pictures and videos are below. About Cresson, TX

The origin of the name has been lost to history. One book suggests the city may have been named after John Cresson, captain of a wagon train that camped in the area before the Civil War. A similar story is told that Cresson was named for an official with the Fort Worth and Rio Grande Railroad. Cresson was at one time served by the Fort Worth and Rio Grande, the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe and the Nancy Hanks railroad companies. It has also been suggested that Cresson was named for Cresson, Pennsylvania, another city with a strong railroading history.
