Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Colorado Springs, CO

Jetta – AQHA Smokes Ebony, DOB May 26, 2006 http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/smokes+ebony “Jetta” is a gorgeous, stout, black 10 year old 14.2 - 14.3 hand mare. She is the foundation mare of my program and has produced some very nice fillies for me over the years. She has been a combination broodmare and main trail mount. I am an intermediate rider and this mare can sit for months at a time, be pulled off pasture and warmed up a bit and then loaded and trailered to the trail head. She has had many, many miles put on her but is not a push-button or bomb proof horse and could use a lot more training if there is a particular discipline you desire. She is gentle, easy going and willing and on the trail prefers to be a follower and not a leader and lazes along once settled in to the environment. She is an outstanding broodmare, easy to work around her and her foals. She has a solid pedigree mixed with some speed and halter so could do just about anything for you and is still young enough to learn something new or be added to your breeding program. 5 panel tested negative and confirmed homozygous black through Animal Genetics. Please call the home number, email or text 719-663-9569 for more information $6000 open

About Colorado Springs, CO

The Ute, Arapaho and Cheyenne peoples were the first recorded inhabiting the area which would become Colorado Springs. Part of the territory included in the United States' 1803 Louisiana Purchase, the current city area was designated part of the 1854 Kansas Territory. In 1859, after the first local settlement was established, it became part of the Jefferson Territory on October 24 and of El Paso County on November 28. Colorado City at the Front Range confluence of Fountain and Camp creeks was "formally organized on August 13, 1859" during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. It served as the capital of the Colorado Territory from November 5, 1861, until August 14, 1862, when the capital was moved to Denver.
