Oldenburg Gelding for Sale in Brookeville, MD

Rainier TR (Tony) is 16.1 dual registered Oldenburg Arab. His Sire is Roc USA. Tony has super personality, is fun to ride and has been my partner for the last 4 years—I grew up learning to ride this big guy (I was nine when I got him). I’ve taken him to 3’ jumpers and we’ve done dressage through First Level. He’s great for trail riding too—alone or with a group. He’s a really good boy, eager to please and sensitive to commands. He has perfect flying leads a flashy trot and a truly smooth, ground covering cantor. He collects nicely and is good at lateral work. He has no vices and has been barefoot the entire 4 years I’ve owned him. Tony is an athletic horse who is happiest when working. Only selling because my passion is jumping and it’s time to go much higher. He is priced to sell fast, to good homes only. You can learn more by talking with my trainer, Patty Foster at Rolling Acres where he is boarded.

About Brookeville, MD

Quakers Richard Thomas and his wife Deborah Brooke founded the town of Brookeville in 1794, and named it after her family. The town was established on land inherited by Deborah Brooke from her father Roger Brooke IV, son of an influential Quaker landholder, James Brooke. At the time, Brooke was the largest landholder in what would become Montgomery County. Thomas also set up a mill, along the Reddy Branch, which cuts through the town. Caleb Bentley opened a store and a post office in 1802, becoming the first postmaster of Brookeville.
