Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Colby, KS
Viva is a really sweet mare who need a good home. And lots of attention. She has really good ground manners and very smart. She would be good at english riding. She moves very well and gets her leads. I am looking for an older horse that is why I am selling her. She is a quick learner and can do anything she is taught. And like I said she is very fast. If you are looking for a halter horse that is not her but she is good for everything else. I don't think she would make a very good kids horse but in time she could. I am asking $5000 for her and I am firm on that price.

In 1882, a post office was established near the center of Thomas County. Area homesteaders lived under harsh conditions in sod houses, creating demand for a town to provide lumber and other provisions to incoming settlers. J.R. Colby, a local land assessor and preacher, obtained a patent to establish the town in April 1884, and land was acquired for the town site three miles north of the post office in March 1885. The following month, the Kansas Secretary of State issued the Town Charter.
