Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Yelm, WA

She has been used mainly for trail riding in the mountains, so she has been tied on high lines for years at camp. She loads good and stands calm for farrier. She has spirit and not for a beginner person, never has bucked or tried to run off with anyone. My husband doesn't ride anymore and I need to thin the herd down is the reason for sale. In the past years she hasn't been used on a regular basis but you can go out and get on her with no problems. She needs to go to a good home where she can be used to her full potential. Pumpkin is 15 hands.

About Yelm, WA

Yelm is in southeast Thurston County, Washington. It is a suburban city, surrounded by other suburban cities and pockets of unincorporated Thurston County. It is near the major transportation routes of Interstate 5 and State Routes 507, 510, and 702, which connect it economically and socially to the greater Puget Sound Region and provide a gateway to Mount Rainier. The word "Yelm" is said to come from the Coast Salish word shelm or chelm, meaning "heat waves from the sun", referring to heat mirages. The Yelm Prairie was originally inhabited by the Nisqually and provided good pasture for their horses.
