Rio is an stunning 16.3hh 8 year old off the track thoroughbred. Has completed dressage, show jumping, cross country, trail riding, a mox foxhunt, and hunter paces. Stands great for farrier and clipping. Suitable for any height of rider but will need an experience rider. Can be put with other farm animals, great with dogs. No permanent injuries. Amazing in the show ring but can be a bit temperant in the field with a group of horses along can be spookish. Has exceeded 3'6 but can go higher with the right training. Has a big personality and can be a big love bug. Has a ton of potential just need the right rider to get him to where he needs to be. Selling due to lack of time and will be leaving soon and cannot take him along.

About Stuarts Draft, VA
In 1749, Thomas Stuart purchased 353 acres (1.43 km 2) near the South River, a tributary of the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. 'Draft' probably refers to the document drafting the land sale or is a reference to the river itself (draft is an old term for river or creek and is part of the name of several such in the area). ‘Draft’ may also refer to a river crossing on Stuart’s parcel of land, another common local use of the term. The plain on the south side of the river tends to channel the wind, thus forming a rather constant draft.
