Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Oak Harbor, WA

Grid North is a stunning 15 year old bay 16.2hh OTTB gelding. He has incredible form over jumps and is very talented. Despite his natural aptitude, he has not been finished over fences. With consistent work completing his schooling would not take long. He has some basic dressage training and has the movement to excel in that discipline. Grid North has a fluid walk, a large trot, and a flat canter that is easy to sit. He can be ridden English or Western, though most of his training has been in English. He bathes, ties, trailers, and stands great for the vet and farrier. He has clipped in the past but would need work on that as he has not been clipped in several years. The reason for the sale is that he is too much horse for me. He requires an experienced, confidant rider as he can become nervous about some situations. With a little work this horse would do very well competing in intermediate or advanced jumping. He has that energetic edge that many people in the higher divisions desire. Grid North is located in Oak Harbor on the north end of Whidbey Island. His asking price is $3,000. Please contact Dana Hallahan at 360-320-7801 for more information or to schedule a viewing.

About Oak Harbor, WA

Oak Harbor is Whidbey Island's largest incorporated city; it is named for the Garry Oak trees which grace its skyline. The city's growth coincided with two major events: the building of Deception Pass Bridge on July 31, 1935, and the completion of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island on September 21, 1942. Oak Harbor's history goes back to the early 1850s, when two settlers staked claims where the city now stands— Zakarias Toftezen, a shoemaker from Norway; C.W. Sumner from New England. Houses and businesses sprouted up along the shores of Oak Harbor as the pioneers relied entirely on water transportation until the 1900s.
