Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Pleasanton, CA

This guy has done it all! Was originally from a ranch in Idaho where he was roped off of and ranched off of, and now is used for ranch pleasure. Would make a great junior or high school rodeo rope horse, or a great ranch horse versatility/working cow horse show horse. He has also competed in gymkhana events. Very mellow attitude. He ties, clips, trailers, bathes, and stands for farrier. He has a very smooth jog, and a nice lope. He can pivot, do simple lead changes, stops great, works cattle, and collects pleasantly. Needs a intermediate to advanced rider. Currently living in a hilly pasture with 5 other horses. Selling because of too many horses and not enough time.

About Pleasanton, CA

Before the establishment of Pleasanton in the 1850s, an earlier settlement in the location was called Alisal. It was located on the lands of the Rancho Santa Rita near the site of an Indian ranchera, around the Francisco Solano Alviso Adobe, called El Alisal (The Sycamores), one of the earliest houses built in the valley in 1844. It is still standing and serves as the centerpiece of the Alviso Adobe Community Park. Alisal, nicknamed "The Most Desperate Town in the West", was one of the settlements located along La Vereda del Monte that was a haunt and refuge of bandits and desperados in the era following the beginning of the California Gold Rush. Main Street shootouts were not uncommon.
