Kentucky Mountain Mare for Sale in Lancaster, KY

Ginger was my per. mount for 3 yrs. Awesome gait. I recently purchased a mare who fits my personality just a bit better with the intention of riding both, but I got pregnant and that just hasn't happened. She is out of old TWH bloodlines but had no papers so when the KY. mt reg. started I had her reg. there. She is a proven broodmare (had one colt when she was 3) Catchs, ties, trailors, stalls, shoes, saddles, clips great. No vices really. She prefers women, but my husband has been riding her since I can't. She will take the lead but does tend to see more "boogers" up front. If you bring her one horse back she does great. Does not kick, tends to be herd boss. She has been ridden at local parks, home and all over Tennessee Big South Fork Park.

About Lancaster, KY

In 1797, Captain William Buford donated land for the establishment of a town around the site of Major Andrew Wallace's settlement at Wallace Crossroads. The surveying and platting was completed over the next year by Joseph Bledsoe Jr., and the community was named "Lancaster" for the Pennsylvania town, either because one of its settlers came from there or because the town was designed on a similar plan. The post office was established in 1801 and operated under the name "Lancaster Court House" until 1811. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1837. As of the census of 2000, there were 3,734 people, 1,585 households, and 1,020 families residing in the city.
