Missouri Fox Trotter Mare for Sale in Butler, PA

Missouri Fox trot 14.3 hands, 13 years old, she is gated. She is chestnut/bay colored with a black dorsal stripe, white marking on her face, and black tiger striping on her legs. Her mane is black, brown, and blonde. Before I got her she was sent away for training with desensitizing. I am looking for a good home for her as I just got a new job and don't have the time that she deserves. She is a great horse for beginners but has only been ridden twice this summer due to me becoming pregnant. She rides great with other horses. I ride western but her previous owner rode her English. She rides great around cars, through the woods, or on the road. She is registered but I don't have the papers for her. Asking 1,200 or best offer. Please contact me for any further information (724) 504-3388.

About Butler, PA

In it's heyday, the city of Butler was a "Steel Belt" manufacturing and industrial area. In 1902, the Standard Steel Car Company opened one of its largest railcar manufacturing facilities in Butler. It was here that some of the first all-steel rail cars were built. Diamond Jim Brady, the legendary financier, gourmand and gemophile, established the Standard Steel Car Company in 1902, which merged with the Pullman Palace Car Company in 1934, creating Pullman-Standard, a monopoly that was eventually broken by the government. About 2,500 workers produced 60 steel-bed railroad cars per day in 1902.
