Tennessee Walking Gelding for Sale in Jamestown, TN

Chance is a rangy built 12 year old gelding. Rides on a hackamore or mild bit. Needs a rider, won't do well with a "passenger". Will go anywhere and do anything as long as you know how to ask. Easy to load, road safe, used to dogs, stands well for farrier, UTD on shots and worming, due for floating in Fall. NOT brave - will go up front but is most comfortable either alongside or behind other horses BUT is fine if you want to ride alone. Low in pecking order in the herd. If you're looking for a working partnership, this guy is worth your time to come try him out.

About Jamestown, TN

Jamestown was established in 1823 as a county seat for Fentress County. It was incorporated as a city in 1837. Both Fentress County and Jamestown are named for prominent local politician James Fentress (1763–1843), who made the appeal for the new county to be carved out of Overton and Morgan counties. Jamestown was built upon the site of a semi-permanent Cherokee village, which probably made use of the many natural rock shelters in the area. Before the founding of Jamestown, the area was known as "Sand Springs" for the many bubbling springs located within the city.
