Dakota Dreamer: 12y/o 16hh thoroughbred gelding Easy keeper, barefoot, lives outside with 3 mares and gets along with others great, very sweet. Stands for the vet, farrier, cross ties and bathes no problem, trailers great. Does best in the hunter ring up to 2'9" with a confident rider who can tell him, "this is what we are doing". Cute and incredibly comfortable mover, smooth transitions, and soft mouth. Goes around in a D-ring snaffle. Dakota and I school up to 3'6" at home and started training in the beginner novice eventers last summer. He loves the water features and has no problems with hedges, logs, and coops. Isn't so sure about some of the more advanced jumps and bigger ditches yet but made big progress in the first summer alone. He is very responsive and willing when the rider keeps their legs on and rides with confidence. He does have a stop in him which is why I am emphasizing the confidence piece. I bought Dakota for my 11th birthday and have grown up with him. He was in and out of my possession for a few years when my family had financial troubles. I am in a sticky situation now financially again seeing as I will be moving into an apartment soon and have bills and school to pay for. It breaks my heart to see him go and he is such a sweet boy so a good, loving home where he will get the love and attention he deserves is a MUST!
