Arabian Mare for Sale in San Marcos, TX

Ptursassy aka Sashay is a substantial Polish Arab Mare. This beautiful Bay is just now 12 years old. She is a pleasure for anyone to ride in any discipline. If you want a first horse for a beginner adult or youth coming out of pony club or just a fun ride that shows competitively this girl is for you! Sashay is currently eventing at Beginner Novice level and has completed and placed at Pine Hill. She has shown in Western and English Pleasure, Arabian and Costume shows and she likes trails. She usually places and brings home the ribbons. Very versatile. Sashay has been a lesson horse and is adaptable to her rider but is still very responsive. Easy to learn on and easy to teach new things. Sashay is affectionate and expressive but not pushy. She has all the endurance of her breed. Her regal bloodlines show in her health and temperament and she would make beautiful babies. No buck, bite or kick, travels well, bathes and handles easily. (Bask, Khimosabe, Aswan) Sashay will be showing at Coyote Springs, Scissortail Hill and Pine Hill this Spring. Stop by and see her before some lucky person snaps her up!

About San Marcos, TX

Archeologists have found evidence at the San Marcos River associated with the Clovis culture, which suggests that the river has been the site of human habitation for more than 10,000 years. The San Marcos Springs are the third-largest collection of springs in Texas. Never in recorded history has the river run dry. In 1689, Spaniard Alonso de Leon led an expedition from Mexico to explore Texas and establish missions and presidios in the region. De Leon's party helped blaze the Camino Real (later known as the Old San Antonio Road), which followed present-day Hunter Road, Hopkins Street, and Aquarena Springs Drive (the route later shifted four miles to the south; it is now followed by County Road 266, known locally as Old Bastrop Highway).
