Belgian Draft Mare for Sale in Laporte, IN
She is 4 years old and is a pure bred belgian. Her papers are pending now.
She has been trained to drive team and single. I have worked with her on
halter and loose - line driving. She does really WELL under harness. She
has a white blaze and four white socks. She stands for the vet and while
being bathed. Our farrier uses a stock so she is used to a stock. We have
used a farrier without a stock and she stands for him. She picks up her
feet good and has a prospect to be a hitch horse either in cart or team.
She loves attention and gets along fairly well with other horses. She
has been riden by me and my brother in an australian saddle. She did
well and will be good for an intermediate / expert rider. She is green
broke for riding and driving.

About Laporte, IN
The settlement of La Porte was established in July 1832. Abraham P. Andrew, one of the purchasers of the site, constructed the first sawmill in that year. The first settler arrived in October, building a permanent cabin just north of what would become the courthouse square. After the US extinguished land claims by the Potowatomi and other historic tribes of the area by treaty and removal to Indian Territory, in 1833 a Federal Land Office was established in La Porte.
