Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Waterloo, IL

1994 AQHA Incentive Fund beautiful Bay Mare - "Lady" - Western Pleasure deluxe - ready to go to the show pen and win - would be a great horse for someone starting out - very tolerable of mistakes the rider makes. Nothing phases this little Lady - she could easily cross over to trail, and other disciplines. Picks up the correct lead every time from standing, walk or trot. She is an awesome mare. She has the foundation bloodlines and would help a child with confidence and help them to excel to the next level - she would be great for Halter, Showmanship, Western Pleasure and Equitation. Very nice moving mare. Clips, bathes, good for shoer, loads in the trailer, good with dogs, no problem with water. Will work in the round pen and lunges very nicely.

About Waterloo, IL

Waterloo's history dates back to the 18th century, with the French being the first Europeans to settle in the area. The site was ideal because of its elevation; the proximity of the Mississippi River Valley brought frequent flooding to the lowlands. It was also close to Fort de Chartres, a French stronghold. They named their settlement Bellefontaine, meaning 'beautiful spring.' This name related to a spring of water a mile south of the site of Waterloo, a frequent campsite on journeys between Kaskaskia, Cahokia, and St. Louis.
