Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Oak View, CA

Attractive and thick made 11 year old 15.1 hand AQHA sorrel gelding. Ranger is built to last with great bone and feet. Very well trained and handy. This is a gentle and good natured horse that is user friendly and fun to ride. He collects up nice, has a nice slow jog and lopes out on cue on the correct lead every time with a great stop and back up. He rates well and does perfect flying lead changes and has a correct turn around on him. He will side pass with ease to open and close the gates as well. Ranger has a good brisk comfortable ranch horse walk and will really walk out nice. He is an outstanding trail horse that goes over around or thru anything we point him at. Crosses the deep murky brown river crossing. He is very sure footed in steep rocky terrain. He will lead or follow or go o
... more»ut on his own like a gentleman. This horse has been used for everything on the ranch. He will run to cattle, and is good to work and sort cattle on. Ranger is also good on our busy streets and handles the urban environment well. He gets along well when turned out with the others and is a good get along kind of guy. Well-mannered with great ground manners. Good to tie, bathe, shoe load and haul. 100% in every way. This is a nice one!805-649-9398

About Oak View, CA

The town of Oak View was established as a 'bedroom community' during the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily home to local oil industry workers who found work in nearby Ventura. Besides nearby downtown Ojai, Oak View is the only other town in the Ojai Valley with a discernible "downtown", which has developed along the Ventura Avenue/Highway 33 corridor. Oak View's 'downtown' has a number of businesses and services that have withstood the test of time and economic conditions. Among them, you'll find a post office, a grocery store, a grocery mart, one bank, a Thai restaurant, a coffee house/restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a pizza parlor, two automobile repair shops, two tire shops, two self-serve gasoline stations, two coffee shops, an equipment rental yard, several hair stylists, a pet supplies store, a liquor store, a walk-in medical office, a car wash, and a laundromat. At various times over the years, some locals have considered incorporating as a city, as an alternative to County of Ventura governance.
