Spanish Mustang Mare for Sale in Winona, MO
Rainwoman is a registered spanish mustang (the breed featured in the movie Hidalgo) filly. Not to be confused with BLM mustangs which are predominantly a mixture of modern breeds and mustangs by virtue of havin grun wild for generations, the spanish mustang is the original breed imported from Spain in the 16 th century; the horse of the conquistador, the native american, and the original cowboy. They made a significant contribution to most of the breeds originating in North America, such as the quarter horse and many of the gaited breeds. Though not a tall breed - - averaging about 14. 1 hh at maturity, spanish mustangs have the strength and endurance to outperform many larger horses and thrive under tough conditions. Rainwoman is gaited, halter broke, bold and responsive, likes people, and has been handled since birth. ~
