Appaloosa Gelding for Sale in Rogersville, MO

Jubilee’s Windwalker is his registered name. He is a foundation old-style Appaloosa. So he’s from those good lines that have level heads, quieter demeanors, and nice stout builds. He’s all muscle with thick legs and big feet, and he can easily carry a bigger rider. He stands at 15 hands tall. And he is drop-dead gorgeous with that Snow Cap blanket. We have owned Windwalker since he was a baby. So he’s just a little bit special. Ever since he was a baby, we could tell right off he was going to be a special one. He’s always been laid back, in your pocket, and has such a sweet, gentle soul. And he’s only four going on 5 in January, but he’s the type that stays BROKE. Most young horses you can’t let them sit a long time in between rides. And while I won’t say just to let him sit, because he does love hitting the trails. He’s the type that we have let him sit a couple of months in between rides and he comes out the same. He NEVER offers to do anything bad. I’ve been able to let him sit out in the pasture for a couple of months at a time and go out, catch him, saddle him right up, and ride right off down the road, no problems. He’s just that good and quiet about things. He has good ground manners. Stands well for tacking and mounting. Loads right in the trailer and backs right out. Hauls nicely. He gets along with his pasture mates. And he is EASY to catch. He has a very friendly in-your-pocket attitude. That you would think wouldn’t be annoying. However, whenever we take the tractor out to his pasture, he won’t leave it alone. He wants to follow it, which makes it hard to get things done. He can be too friendly sometimes. He is NOT afraid of traffic at all. Not only does he follow the tractor, but he also follows the quad around out in his pasture, too, and he will pony off of the quad. His pasture is down the road, so whenever we get him out to ride, we often use a quad to pick him up. And whenever he sees us coming, he will run to the gate and be waiting for us. He’s VERY good at ponying other horses. He is not phased at all when he’s ponying young colts, and they want to do some crazy stuff around him. He doesn’t care if the rope gets around his hind end or under his tail. He stays cool and collected through it all. He has ponied a whole string of horses at once, and we have also used him to teach young babies to lead. He has been used for some ranch work, so he has had a rope thrown off of him and roped a few calves for medicating. He is desensitized to a rope being wrapped up and tangled all around him, and doesn’t get flustered. So he is ranch-savvy enough to get the job done. If I had to describe him in just two words, it would be a steady Eddy. And not only that, you get the looks to boot! He catches eyes wherever he goes and gets tons of compliments. He can be a bit of a ham sometimes, but so far, he stays humble. He is NOT a speed demon, more whoa than go; however, he will move out if you ask. He comes up to date on shots, vaccines, wormings, coggins, vet check, and farrier. And because we have owned him since a foal I can say he has NEVER had any health problems or any injuries or scars since we have owned him. So, you’re getting a clean-cut gelding that was started and finished the right way. Just call if you have any questions or want to see him. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 12/10 @ 4:50 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.
