Meet Hector, a 6-year-old Registered American Gaited Horse and Kentucky Natural Gaited gelding standing at 15hh. Hector is beautifully gaited, with an amazing run-walk or will pick-up into a nice 4-beat gait. He has an amazing personality and aims to please his rider each time. Hector is full of heart and loves his job. We have had him in super tough terrain where he handles every step with ease and is sure-footed. He is a seasoned trail horse that has been there, and more than likely done it. He crosses creeks, downed trees and rivers with no hesitation, stands like a gentleman for the farrier, to be tacked, bathed or even on a picket-line overnight. Hector is a ball of fun to ride and will make someone very happy he is their trail mount.

Despite its name, it is not an incorporated city; however, it is the county seat of McCreary County. Whitley City is one of two non-city county seats in Kentucky (the other being Burlington in Boone County). This is due to McCreary County not having any cities.
