More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. SunnyD is a 10-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse Gelding standing a stout 16.1Hands Tall with a thick build. SunnyD is a calm horse that would be well suitable for a novice rider or just for someone looking for a horse to build confidence on; where he is on the larger side, he would make an excellent fit for someone looking for the perfect husband-safe type horse! SunnyD has been the go-to horse at our farm as a guest horse to inexperienced trail riders; he knows exactly what to do and takes the best care of his riders! You can ride SunnyD with no bridle. He is always aware and listens to his rider. SunnyD is the typical in-your-pocket horse; he loves attention and is the first to meet you out in the pasture! If you’re looking for a solid, reliable trail horse, SunnyD will make a great fit! SunnyD has a smooth little trail gait, as we like to call them, the perfect speed for enjoying the trails. He also doesn’t mind taking his time walking on a loose rein; he listens to voice commands excellently. You can drag a mounting block up to SunnyD, or if you need to use a rock, picnic table, or anything out on the trail, SunnyD doesn’t mind letting you mount him from whatever and waits patiently for you to climb aboard waiting on a smooch or soft nudge before walking off. SunnyD has been used mainly as a trail horse on big group rides and several camping trips. Since he has been at our farm, we have introduced several new things to SunnyD, like carrying the flag, flapping a tarp around him, shooting a gun from his back, & pushing cattle. He takes to new things so naturally and calmly we would have never known these were new things to him! SunnyD is a naturally calm and gentle horse. He’s not a horse that will find something to spook and run from! We have personally trail-ridden SunnyD several miles in trails by himself and with a group of friends. He does excellent & acts the same with either. He doesn’t mind being in the back of the group, leading, or in the middle! It doesn’t get too steep or rough. He will cross anywhere you point his head without any hesitation, crossing downed trees cut up, jumping up large embankments, creeks, mud puddles, ditches & the steep rocky terrains that we have here in Southeastern Kentucky while still being sure-footed and takes his time with every step with confidence! We also have ridden along the country roads around our home, where he has encountered almost anything imaginable like farm equipment, other livestock running alongside the road (cows, horses, goats jumping around), dogs running out barking, loud vehicles passing, & ATVS. We spend time with our horses training them with natural horsemanship methods creating a human-animal relationship with respect and trust from our horses! SunnyD will load & unload in a trailer great; he doesn’t mind taking baths or being clipped. He’s always well-behaved with our farrier, dentist, and veterinarian. SunnyD is an all-around good horse that you don’t find too often, and we’ve had the pleasure of riding him, and now it’s for him to find him forever home! Additional videos will be added in the coming days to show the many other talents SunnyD has, be sure to keep an eye out for them!
