Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 04/11 @ 4:30PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Blessing is a stunning 12-year-old Grulla mare. She stands 15.2 hands, loves to work, and has one of the easiest-going personalities out there but is still willing to get up and work when asked; she will go all day without getting tired and enjoys hanging out and being loved on. I have done everything on this mare, from dragging and pushing cattle to spending hours in the Rocky Mountains blazing the trails. Bless neck reins like a pro. We are also only a 10 min ride away from town, so she has taken us to coffee and lunch on multiple occasions! We have also taught some kids lessons on her English and western, and she is easy peasy for all ages: She has lived in a stall and out in a field with other horses, and she does well in both and is the first to meet you at the gate! Bless is the perfect horse for any lever rider, we have not seen this horse do so much as kick a leg up, and she has absolutely no bite, buck, kick, or rear, so she would make a fantastic little kid’s horse but is also ready to go to work for someone that needs a handy mare. She stands great for the mount and dismount. She is the job easy for the farrier and the vet and loads like a dream. Bless will also stand tied all day long without a fuss and eat and drink on the road. Come and meet this mare; she’s one of a kind!

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
